FAQ
Micron Sealers
Q: How many years have the Micron sealers been in use within commercial facilities?
A: 8 years
Q: How are Micron sealers different than conventional floor finish or wax?
A: * Floor finish is largely organic; * Micron sealers are largely inorganic; * Floor finish requires more coats; more dry time; more labor and ongoing stripping; * Micron sealers never need stripping during a typical lifecycle; * Micron sealers lower the life-cycle cost of owning/caring for a floor compared to conventional floor care practices.
Q: Why are the sealers referred to as Micron?
A: A typical 3 applications of Micron sealer has a dry film thickness of less than 8 microns or about 1/3rd of 1 mil of film thickness.
Q: What types of flooring can the Micron sealers be applied?
A: All non-carpet flooring, with a few minor exceptions. What are the Micron Sealers core features and benefits: * Attractive appearance; * 10-minute dry times; * Easier cleaning; * Less floor care labor; * No stripping; * Protects the floor from abuse; * Lowers the floor's lifecycle cost; * Desired traction
Thin Film Coatings
Q: How many years have the NeverStrip Thin Film coatings been in use within busy commercial facilities?
A: 11 years
Q: How are NeverStrip Thin Film coatings different than conventional floor finish or wax?
A: The NeveStrip Thin Film coatings are high-performance, water-based urethanes vs. wax, which are acrylic floor finishes
Q: Why are they called Thin Film?
A: They are applied wet at 4 mils of thickness and dry to approximately 2 mils
Q: What types of flooring can the Thin Film coatings be applied?
A: All flooring other than carpet; with a few minor exceptions
Q: What are Thin Film coatings core features and benefits:
A:* Attractive appearance; * Easier cleaning; * Less floor care labor; * No stripping; * Protects the floor from abuse; * Lowers the floor's lifecycle cost; * Many years of use between recoats is typical
